Japaulownia Inc., in collaboration with the International Foundation For The Development of Culture and NTT DATA Japan Corporation, has launched a demonstration project in Miyakonojo, Miyazaki Prefecture, to cultivate approximately 600 early-growing paulownia “Japaulownia” trees. This initiative is part of a proof-of-concept experiment aimed at digitalizing the management of Japaulownia cultivation. To mark the project’s beginning, a tree-planting ceremony was held to pray for its success.
On the day of the event, officials from Miyakonojo’s agriculture and forestry department, representatives from NTT DATA Japan Corporation responsible for the development and operation of the management system, as well as stakeholders from Cool Earth Incorporated Association, which is in charge of tree planting and cultivation, and ALTES Co., Ltd., gathered to pray for the project’s success.
